Since catholicism is so strict on the divorce/remarriage and contraception does the church allow people that werent catholic prior to those decisions (divorce/remarried and even kids outside of marriage) to come in to the church and be accepted as catholics? We attend a non denomination church and believe the bibles word solely. But we both (my husband and i) have a past. So im just curious if its not a reversion if its allowed to enter the catholic church.

Welcome home! Like you, I am a cradle Catholic. In my youth, i didn't take my faith seriously so I often referred to myself as a "lazy Catholic". I never entertained the idea of going anywhere else. I still "felt" Catholic. Fast forward to now, I am married with 4 kids. One of the things that my husband and I were adamant about is sending our kids to Catholic school. While it is not the answer for everyone, I do believe that it helps us have support in bringing them all up in the faith. I love hearing convert/revert stories because folks that have come to the Catholic church are so on fire for the faith... I love it! I think their stories help to deepen the faith of others. Wow. Welcome back. I’m 60 yo and unfortunately, the victim like you of the Vatican II council. Catholics are the sum and substance of the gifts of God the Father to his only begotten. We trace our roots to Peter, Our first Pope. Sadly, none of of this is taught in Catholic Churches since 1970. They are however, very much taught in the Traditional Latin Mass. the Mass that has been in existence for 1960 years. I recommend you watch on you tube, Mass of the Ages episodes 1, 2, and 3 to understand what has been the history of our present church. You can go on their website as well. Our Lady led me to the Latin Mass and I never turned back. You won’t either. God bless you and your family. 🙏

Our family converted on Easter vigil 2023. Raised Baptist, then traveling to Episcopalian, then to Anglican...whew! Finally made it home to the Catholic Church and couldn't be happier. Like you, almost all my friends are Protestant. Love them, but also hungry for Catholic friendships and being able to connect on that level because it is such a big part of our family now! We were also part of a lovely protestant homeschool co-op, but moved to a Catholic curriculum. I am now seeing the gaps in my history lessons as a former Protestant. How much history i have missed!! It also took us about seven years to make this journey to the Church. And i remember saying, "I will never be Catholic." I'm so glad God changes hearts and the Church was there waiting for me. I love listening to conversion/reversion stories, and i recently heard someone say that coming into the Catholic Church felt like someone left the light on for them. Yes. That's exactly how i feel!! I am Presbyterian, I align with RC Sproul very similarly, I really enjoyed listening to your story. I also greatly appreciate that you went through a wide scope of Christian denominations and beliefs. While I don’t agree, I love that you went searching and you went very deep into it all before coming to a conclusion.

Stephanie, I adore you and completely enjoyed listening to your testimony here. It's incredibly smart of you to do your research and heavily seek our Father. While I disagree that catholicism is the answer, I respect your conclusions. Through my own research, I've come to the conclusion that all demoninatons have error of some sort and I choose not to 100% rely on man's interpretation. I continue to seek in the scripture that we have available to us and so far, I've pulled away from organized church of any sort. I'm 100% a creationist and will continue to seek His ways. ❤️

I had this same exact experience with being a cradle cultural Catholic. I was then agnostic and then Reformed and a big fan of MacArthur and RC. My husband and I found our home in Orthodoxy and it has been the most beautiful thing in our lives. I have not experienced disagreement in the Orthodox Church that you mentioned besides the cultural lukewarm casualty that also plagued some Catholics. The only thing wrong with the Catholic Church is “Bad Catholics” as St Bernadette said. When asked what she feared most she said ‘bad Catholics’. When pressed further, she said ‘’only bad Catholics’’. They give the church a black eye because they never understood their faith nor could explain it to others. They take the easy way out -leave or lie about what the church teaches. Like ‘Catholics don’t read their Bible’. Ridiculous statement. Mass is filled with the Bible, gospels, psalms, Old Testament, New Testament, last supper, Calvary etc etc.

I loosely grew up pentecostal, we moved from Ohio to Texas when I was 7 and dabbled in some non-denominational churches. At some point we ended up not going anymore. I met my husband at 13 and we dated all through school moved in together after I graduated high school had 2 kids and things got really rough between me and him, we finally got matried in 2019. We went to a Baptist church for about 6 months or so and we just didn't agree with certain things. My MIL has read the Bible front to back several times and she was going with us but my husband still isn't a big church guy, we want to go back to church just not sure where to go...

Catholic Eucharist is blood and body of Christ. If we really believed our churches would be so insanely packed, we couldn’t get in. we should be flooding towards her, our Catholic Church, it’s so healing. The Mass is cavalry. I seek to share this message, to convince people, the truth is we all have to come to our own understanding. Saint Bernadette said it best, we’re not here to convince only to inform. The presence of Christ is real, it will transform your life

This is such a relatable and honest video, thank you. After my third baby was born nine months ago I transitioned to working part time instead of full time, which has already been such a better balance for our family. But as we have more babies, God willing, and our kids grow up and we start to homeschool, I have to come to terms with working even less or perhaps not at all. It is a difficult transition, even in this gradual way. You have a beautiful family, may God continue to bless you all!
